Online Dentistry (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides continuing dental education for general practitioners, pediatric dentists and post-graduate students. This policy explains what personal information we collect through onlinedentistry.in, why we collect it, and what choices you have.
Who we are
Online Dentistry is based in Kochi, Kerala, India. For any question about this policy or your personal data, contact us at onlinedentistry.in@gmail.com or +91 7012961505.
Information you give us
We collect information you submit directly, including:
- Enquiry and contact forms — your name, email address, phone number, and any details you choose to include when asking about a course.
- Course registration — the information required to enrol you in a training programme and to issue certificates or course materials.
- Newsletter subscription — your email address, if you opt in to receive updates about new courses.
- WhatsApp and direct messages — if you contact us through the WhatsApp button on our site, your phone number and message content are visible to us within WhatsApp.
Information collected automatically
When you browse the site, some information is collected automatically:
- Usage and device data — IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring page, and time spent on the site.
- Analytics — we use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful and how visitors find us.
- Session analytics — we use Microsoft Clarity, which records anonymised interaction data such as mouse movement, scrolling, clicks and page navigation, and may reconstruct these as a session replay. This helps us find usability problems. Clarity is configured to mask text input, and we do not use it to identify individual visitors.
- Cookies — small files stored by your browser. See the section on cookies below.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiries and provide the course information you asked for
- To deliver training programmes you have registered for, and to send related material
- To send newsletters and course announcements, where you have opted in
- To improve our website, course content and user experience
- To maintain the security and proper functioning of the site
- To meet legal, accounting or regulatory obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
Cookies
Our site uses cookies that are necessary for it to function (for example, to keep you logged in and to remember preferences), and analytics cookies set by the services listed above. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work correctly if you do.
Third-party services we rely on
Some information is processed by service providers acting on our behalf. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Hostinger — website hosting and server logs
- Google — Analytics and Search Console
- Microsoft — Clarity session analytics
- Mailchimp — newsletter delivery, if you subscribe
- WhatsApp (Meta) — if you contact us through WhatsApp
Some of these providers are located outside India, which means your information may be transferred to and stored in other countries.
How long we keep your information
We keep enquiry and registration records for as long as needed to provide the course and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymised. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe, which you can do at any time using the link in any email we send.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to our systems. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 of India, and — where it applies to you — the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation, you may:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you and request a copy
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Ask us to erase your personal data, where we have no continuing legal need for it
- Withdraw consent at any time, including unsubscribing from our newsletter
- Raise a grievance with us, or complain to the relevant data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, email onlinedentistry.in@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable period.
Children
Our courses are intended for qualified dental professionals and dental students. The site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Please review it periodically.
